Lee Felshin wed to Hoa Lang in Poughkeepsie NY June 21, 2009
Lee Felshin and Hoa Lang were married at Christo''s in Poughkeepsie, New York on June 21, 2009. Lee grew up in Free Acres. His parents Dan Felshin who now resides in Missouri and Lili Brohal of Blairstown New Jersey were Free Acreites from 1967 to 1989 at leasehold #7 at 57 Appletree Row. The Hessings and Wintembergs of Free Acres, who are Lee''s cousins, attended the wedding. Congratulations Lee and Hoa.

Life after Free Acres
As we approach the 100th Birthday of our Utopian home, Free Acres, reading this Web Site and the comments it has elicited brings lots of memories and tears to my eyes. I absolutely loved growing up in Free Acres. My parents, Lee and Icky Tamaroff, bought our little bungalow in 1939, the year I was born, for their use during the summers. By the mid-forties we made it our full time residence and we trudged to the bus at the top of Beechwood Road to take us to the only school in Berkeley Heights, Columbia School. During the summers we went to Wanoga Camp. What more could any little kid want? All those woods to roam around in and lots of kids to play with during the summers? Besides, where could you grow up and participate in the government of your own community? Where else would you know about what trees could be cut down or not? Where else were there long discussions about how wide the roads should be? How much water you could use? How many square feet you could or couldn''t add to your
